Boating & Recreational Opportunities

Boat RampThere are many recreational opportunities in the Schwenksville Community.   Schwenksville Borough is a gateway community to the Perkiomen Trail that passes through Schwenksville from E. Park Avenue to Route 73 through the Borough.  Trail Parking is located behind 300 Main Street and is available for Perkiomen Trail Users or visitors to Schwenksville's Meadow Park.  There is also plentiful parking along Main Street  and additional parking in Meadow Park for people wanting to launch their kayaks and canoes to explore the Perkiomen Water Trail.   The Meadow Park boat ramp is the starting launch site or take out site for two segments of the trail - Green Lane to Schwenksville and Schwenksville to Collegeville.   Please note that the Schwenksville to Collegeville section can just as easily start at Meadow Park instead of from Perkiomen Township!!

Schwenksville is also fortunate to be located near several Montgomery County recreational facilities including Central Perkiomen Park and Green Lane Park.  The Borough is also conveniently located close to the Central Perkiomen Ball Fields and Spring Mountain Resort.  The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy, located just outside of the Borough, sponsors a plethora of outdoor recreational opportunities that highlight the amazing watershed we are fortunate to be located in.
