Public Safety

Public Safety concerns are directed to the Mayor of Schwenksville and the Emergency Management Coordinator/Fire Marshal.  Together, Mayor Debra Svenkeson and EMC Chris Melville work closely with the Pennsylvania State Police and Montgomery County Department of Emergency Services to provide quality public safety services to the residents of Schwenksville Borough.   Those services include: State Police, Fire, Ambulance and Emergency Response.   Code Enforcement is another public safety service provided to the Borough by a Third Party Provider and overseen by the Borough Manager. 
Pro Deb WMayor Debra Svenkeson coordinates with Pennsylvania State Police regarding reported traffic concerns, suspicious activity or any public safety related matter.  The Mayor also has the authority to declare Snow Emergencies and Emergencies due to natural disasters or more recently, a pandemic.




Pro-Chris-W-150x150Chris Melville is the Emergency Management Coordinator, the Fire Marshal and a member of Council.   Chris coordinates with Borough Council and Montgomery County Emergency Services for matters of fire, disasters, power outages, storm damage or any other public safety concern. 




Pro Dan WDan DeMeno is the Borough Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day business administration of the Borough including complaint resolution.   A complaint or concern submitted to the Borough will be reviewed by Dan and directed to the appropriate party for further attention or mitigation as determined appropriate.   Borough Staff can be reached via telephone at Borough Hall Monday -Thursday 9:00AM to Noon and 1:00PM to 5:00PM and Fridays 9:00AM to 2:00PM.
