Effective 9:00 AM on Friday August rd, 2017, Fire Protection Services for Schwenksville Borough were consolidated with the Lower Frederick Fire Company. Earlier, at their July 13, 2017 Regular Meeting, Schwenksville Borough Council adopted Ordinance No. 391 which Amended Ordinance Number 325 and Chapter 13 of the Schwenksville Borough Codified Code and named Lower Frederick Fire Company as the primary Fire Protection Service Provider.
With the merger completed Schwenksville Fire Company is no longer in operation. The fire company building was built on Borough owned land and leased to Schwenksville Fire Company. With the dissolution of the fire company, the property and all improvements thereto revert to the Borough.
