Dear Schwenksville Citizens,

 

    Effective January 1, 2008 the Schwenksville Borough Council Approved a new three year trash contract with Ches-Mont Disposal, Inc.

    The trash collection day is Tuesday. For the disposal of Bulk items with Freon (air conditioners, refrigerators, etc) these will only be picked up once a month. Please call the Borough Hall Office 610-287-7442 to find out what day they will be picked up. The cost for these items will be $55.00 and will be added to the resident's next bill.
Non-Freon bulk item pick up (washers, stoves etc.) must also be called in by Friday 2:00pm.

    All trash should be put inside the Ches-Mont Toter and recyclables in recycling bin. Please do not use any other containers for the trash or recyclables. If toter is full, one extra bag on the side is allowable.


New Rates for 2008:
    Monthly $24.00 for 1 toter/1recycle
    Quarterly $72.00
    Yearly $288

Each additional toter is $15.00 per month.

If paying for the year, payment needs to be sent before January 31, 2008.
 

In the event quarterly bill is not paid within quarter, bill will be deemed delinquent and a late fee of $10.00 for each quarter will be assessed and added to outstanding balance.

In addition, to support our ongoing efforts to ensure a “neighbor friendly-Schwenksville”, please keep in mind the following tips:


Please put trash out the night before pickup.

If trash is seen out before Monday a letter will be sent to the property owner.

Please return the toter and recycling bin from the sidewalk as soon as possible after pick-up.

Please try to store the toters and recycling bin in a discrete location, in an effort to minimize the visual impact for the neighbors.
